Supporting WOMAD’s move to Neston Park
In 2025 WOMAD Festival approached us about their move to a brand new location at Neston Park, near Corsham.
Neston Park had never hosted an event at this scale before, had no existing internet connectivity and extremely limited cellular signal. It was a blank slate.
Due to the remote location, bringing a new fibre internet connection directly into the festival site was cost-prohibitive, with traditional providers quoting extremely high Excess Construction Charges.
Instead, we worked with the Estate and our partners at Orbital Net to identify nearby properties that would allow for a significantly more straightforward installation by OpenReach.
We then designed and installed a full passive fibre network, including more than 5km of cabling, installed permanently across the site. This brought high-speed main and backup internet connectivity from a neighbouring property, and distributed it around the event site.
Investing in permanent fibre cabling around the event site not only created a faster and more resilient network backbone, it also allowed WOMAD to significantly reduce its operational spending on Connectivity and on-going carbon footprint by reducing year-on-year labour and cable wastage.

We were also able to expand connectivity to Neston Park House, and a number of businesses based on the Estate, creating year-round benefit, and helping to further offset the event’s costs.

We specialise in getting high-speed internet connectivity into difficult locations. Working with our Partner network, we can find solutions that traditional suppliers won’t. Even if BT have told you it’s impossible…
What Support Packages do you offer?
Venues don’t have standard hours or opening times, and nor do we. We don’t believe in boilerplate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or support contracts; instead we’ll work with you to create a package that truly meets your requirements.
